Popular new chair

Our cats appear to be big fans of the new glider rocker (and matching ottoman) that we bought for comfortably rocking the impending baby to sleep. It's rare to find them all clustered in one place these days, but...

I can't blame them: it's a really comfy chair. (Very well constructed, too.)

That's very funny!

What was really funny was watching them try their usual "jump up to balance on the very top of the chair" trick. The balance on this rocker is really sensitive, and the moment Polly leapt up there, the whole thing tilted waaaaaaaay back. Polly flailed wildly before finally tumbling off (the humor value was totally worth the scratches in the wood), and Callie (who was dozing in the seat) was startled and then just plain annoyed.

Inevitably :).

Now if we could just convince them to stay out of the chair long enough for us to enjoy it :-P

The kitties have gotten so big! The last pics I remember of them they were tiny.

They really have grown a lot! Looking back at those first pictures is amazing now. (They're still awfully cute, but kittens are adorable.) There are a handful of somewhat recent pictures that you may not have seen; if you're curious, you can click on the "cats" tag in my main journal.

Oops. Looks like I failed to close an emphasis tag. This is why I really ought to click preview. (But I hate that it spell checks by default! I get that in my browser already, and LJ's spell check is terrible.)
