I was reading the LA Times this morning, and came upon this block of news briefs. It looks like some editor skipped a step or two.

(In case you hadn't noticed, the photo caption is a bit unfinished, too.)

[Quick edit: I meant to include another random tidbit that didn't deserve its own post. An amusing spam message got past my filters this morning, but rather than blogging about it myself I'll leave that to Wil Wheaton.]

Then you'll be even more amazed to learn that Kim and I have a daily subscription. :) We still enjoy reading the paper in the morning (especially on Sundays it ends up being a low-key activity to do together), and I feel like I get a somewhat different take on the news when I skim through a whole paper rather than just clicking on a handful of headlines. (I certainly get more of a feel for local news this way!)

The LA Times called me a few years ago asking if I'd like to subscribe. My response was "Why? I don't have bird right now." The person on the other end of the phone really didn't get the joke. I think that it expresses my opinion of that paper pretty well, though. :)
