I was reading the LA Times this morning, and came upon this block of news briefs. It looks like some editor skipped a step or two.

I have often thought that the Economist has a back room of drug-smoking caption writers. Mind you, their captions are relevant and correct -- just frequently on the other side of some line that US caption-writers would not dare to cross. I wish I were as awesome as their caption-writers. But I do wonder if the editors read them.
