In response to recent policy changes here at LiveJournal, there's a 24 hour "content strike" being organized that starts in about 45 minutes (that's midnight GMT, which is 5pm Pacific). I'm not completely up in arms about the issues involved (eliminating new ad-free accounts without payment, some fairly icky tracking of user behavior, and a complete lack of transparency and honesty when they made the changes), but it's enough of a concern that I'm willing to support it. Both
akiko and
donaithnen have talked about it (among others on my friends list), and the issues involved seem worth at least the minor inconvenience of avoiding LJ for the next day.
