Thesis defense!

At long last I have managed to schedule a date for my thesis defense. (It was tricky during the summer, with lots of professors in and out of town for conferences.) The defense will be on Wednesday, July 12 at 1:30 PM. If you happen to be in the Chicago area and want to watch, you're welcome to attend; the location at the U of C is "RI 180". (More specific directions available on request.)

Now I just need to finish writing the thing. :)
