Yesterday's LA Times had an article about Philip K. Dick's "cinematic legacy". I didn't read it, but the choice of caption on an accompanying picture made me chuckle: "PROLIFIC: Some of the writings of Philip K. Dick. ..." To illustrate this, the picture shows a collection of four items:
- An old pulp magazine featuring Dick's short novel "Cantata 140",
- A book entitled Blade Runner (with subtitle "Science Fiction": the flying car picture apparently isn't a clue),
- A book entitled Blade Runner (with subtitle "Perigo Iminente"), and
- A book entitled Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?
